A Symphonic Celebration at Holy Trinity Church

We close our concert season with an evening of sweeping melodies, folk-inspired rhythms, and atmospheric storytelling in "Echoes of the Romantic North" – a richly textured programme capturing the spirit of northern Europe’s Romantic tradition.

Conducted by Katherine Stonham, this classic symphonic concert showcases some of the 19th century’s most evocative and beloved works, performed in the beautiful surroundings of Holy Trinity Church.

🎻 Programme includes:
🌿 Mendelssohn – Overture: A Midsummer Night’s Dream – sparkling, magical, and full of Shakespearean charm
🌊 Dvořák – The Water Goblin – a chilling and dramatic symphonic poem from Bohemia’s master of folklore
🕺 Grieg – Norwegian Dances – lively folk rhythms and Nordic colour from Norway’s most famous composer
🎼 Brahms – Symphony No. 3 – lyrical, noble, and deeply moving, a true Romantic masterpiece

Join the Huddersfield Philharmonic Orchestra as we mark the end of another successful season with a celebration of rich orchestral storytelling and timeless music from the heart of the Romantic era.
